WHY LUDINGTON IS
SO GOOD !

You may not catch fish this size ... But these monsters were all taken by Charter boats. Want BIG master angler fish? More are caught in Ludington than any other port! verified by DNR Master angler survey.

The Ludington area is a virtual fish bowl! Fish are stocked and raised in the Pere Marquette river, Little Sable river, and Pentwater. We have a deep drop off, by Big Sable point which holds bait and fish all year. Many fish headed for ports further north stay around our area. We catch'em before they get where they are going. You can go from 60 to 400 feet in less than 1 mile. The pump storage project, which generates electricity, provides some warm water to help out spring fishing. The protected Pere Marquette lake holds trophy browns all year and hosts some of the best Salmon fishing of the season in the fall in a protected environment.

Your Captain's biggest problem is which way to go! He can go north, south, west or stay in the harbor and catch fish. But he stays on top of the fishing and will take you where the action is best. Unlike many other ports he has lots of options. No such thing as........
